Amber Allardice
Amber started dancing at Clemson University in 2005 where she took intermediate and advanced swing dance classes and religiously attended the social dances held at the school. Following graduation and commissioning into the USAF, her first Air Force assignment brought her to San Antonio. Amber’s involvement with SASDS began at the Friday Lindy Stop and she fell in love with the swing scene! You can find Amber regularly at Sam’s Burger Joint and Semeneya Ball Room. She started instructing in early 2007 and has had the privilege of attending a teaching workshop with Bill Borgida as well! Amber loves dancing and showing others how to dance and her passion for it. There is no greater joy in life!

Sandra Becerra
Sandra teaches Beginner Swing classes at Sam's Burger Joint.

Raleigh Chen
Raleigh started dancing in January of 2004 in a Ballroom Dance class at the University of Texas in Austin. After a semester of Two-step, waltz, polka, foxtrot, salsa, tango, and swing, Raleigh struck out on his own to San Antonio for work. After taking some lessons at a local dance studio, he discovered Sam's Burger Joint and was soon hooked into SASDS. After a year and a half of swing dancing, he's still going strong. Raleigh can be found teaching the Monday classes at Sam's and occasionally the beginner's tracks on Wednesday night.

Andrea Deaton
A founding member of SASDS, Andrea has attended multiple regional and national Lindy exchanges and workshops, and served as an integral member of the SASDS Board of Directors for several years.

Amelia Dennis
Amelia teaches the Beginner Swing classes at Semeneya and Sam's Burger Joint.

Abel Dominguez
Abel Dominguez teaches the Beginner Swing classes at Sam's Burger Joint and at Semeneya.

Jennie Dunnavant
Jennie Dunnavant teaches many, many classes at Semeneya Ballroom. She is also the Communications director for the Society.

Kim Fodge
Kimberly Fodge started swing dancing in April of 2006 at Sam’s Burger Joint, and she has been hooked ever since. She learned how to dance in San Antonio, with some help from the Houston Swing Dance Society at Lindyfest and random lessons from the Dallas Swing Dance Society. Kim is a fifth grade teacher by day, so swing dancing was an easy addition to her teaching repertoire. Kim usually teaches with Raleigh Chen, and together, they make a goofy, fun pair.

Ben Luhrman
Ben Luhrman is a young advocate of swing. He began dancing in 2006, when one of his friends invited him to Sam's Burger Joint. Since then his dedication to swing on and off the dance floor has been incredible. His love for social dancing has pushed him to start instructing. He has attended several important workshops including Lindyfest in Houston in 2007, and a teaching workshop with Bill Borgida, a nationally recognized Lindy Hop instructor. One of Ben’s accomplishments on the dance floor was winning the 2007 USO Canteen Dance Contest.

Jack McEwan
Jack was introduced to dancing through a social dance class in 1998, and immediately fell in love. He has been addicted to Lindy Hop since 2001, and started teaching "officially" (every dancer is a teacher, right?) in 2003. He met his future wife, Jess in the swing scene in Idaho. Teaching swing dancing with Jess was what eventually led to their marriage in 2005. Both have dabbled in ballroom dance, dance teams, and DJed "officially" (every dancer is a DJ, right?).

Jess McEwan
Jess started dancing in 2002 also through a social dance class (we highly recommend those) and has been teaching since 2004. Jess was also the cofounder of the BYU-Idaho Swing Dance Society. After moving to San Antonio early 2007, Jess and Jack McEwan quickly became integral members and instructors with SASDS.

Lara Willars
Lara began dancing in 2000 and has been an addict ever since. Over the years she has attended numerous workshops and exchanges, and was formerly a member of Swing Cats Perpetual Motion, a performance troupe in Oklahoma. Her instruction focuses on technicality, musicality, and that overall "gush" that makes lindy great. When not dancing, you'll find her on the stage....

Ed Willars
Ed has been dancing in his heart since he was born. In 2005 his two favorite dancing daughters, Lara and Lydia, convinced him to transfer that passion into his feet as well. Since then Ed has taken swing classes with SASDS and by attending Lindyfest in Houston. He began instructing in 2007.
