Beacon Hill & Monte Vista neighborhoods are within 2 miles of both venues and packed with local eats/drinks. Or get the full San Antonio experience with a stay in historic Downtown or the arts district, Southtown.

Where should I stay?

What pass should I get?

Depends on what all you want to experience...

  • "Everything" = Full weekend pass

  • "No classes, only dancing" = Dance pass

  • "I have never danced before but want to learn in a day" = Beginner crash course

  • "I can only make it to a few of the classes" = Class Pass

Tickets for nightly social dances will be available to purchase at the door!

Am I eligible to take Solo Jazz & Lindy Hop classes?

Solo Jazz classes are Open Level, meaning no prerequisites are required and the structure is designed for dancers of any level. For Lindy Hop classes with Tyedric & Breonna we recommend students pto have taken swing dance classes for at least 6 months.

Are there any discounts?

Yes! SASDS class subscribers get 10% off & there is a pay-what-you-can option (for college students only). For free entry, you can also volunteer to help out over the weekend.

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers will receive free entry to the entire event (equal to a Full Weekend pass) if they volunteer 10 hours over the weekend. To be transparent, volunteering does means you may not get to experience the event in full - an unfortunate trade off - so please consider this when deciding to volunteer. On the other side of that, the goal is to have a large enough team of volunteers where the "loss" is minimal and evenly distributed.

Volunteers are essential to our entire operation, especially for larger events like DDLH. Classes, social dances, weekend workshops, and other social events don't happen without the time & efforts of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at info@sasds.org and we will add you to the Slack channel.

What is the COVID policy?

Día de los Hoppers follows the same COVID guidelines set in place by SASDS. You can read the full guidelines here.
